June 16, 2007

Please Help Buddy as he has wokin up on the morning of Saturday 16/2007 and lost all mobility in his hind legs as he is now paralized I'm on a low income and can't afford the vet bills that I'm being told will be in the 1,000's of dollars, I have asked the Windsor / Essex Humane Society for help and the only suggestion they told me other then the bills is to have him put down, I can't do this again as I was told to do the same thing with Sheba my last fur baby because we couldn't afford the vet bill which was the purpose of starting this website in her honour but now she will be helping others, So Please Donate so that I'm able to bring Buddy in to the vets so that he can get the care he needs plus I may have to buy one of them Animal Wheel chair type thing so that he will be able to move around as he did before all this happened....

Update on Buddy

Well I got the word from my friend and thinks the bill for the surgery is to high and won't co-sign for me so I'm back where I allwost started from, we were suppose to leave tomorrow for guelph, Ontario but have to cancle the surgery time now as I can't get the money for it. I was told to got to imom.com and fill out the form there but as I read on what I would have to pay I would have to pay $78.00 USD per month for 24 months and that doesn't work into my monthly check of $548.00 and rent is $400.00 each month which leaves me $148.00 left over, after paying about $20.00 on the pet medicard and then approx $85.00 CND for imom.com that would only leave me with $43.00 to survive for the next 24 months. I can't live on that. So now I'm back where I started from, at least Buddy was able to get medications for his pain in which I'll have to keep getting them untill I can find somewhere that will help with the financial part of Buddy's surgery, each week we wait the percentage of his recovery will get less. I don't understand why Ontario, Canada doesn't have any organizations that will help, it almost seems as if these canadians don't care about the animals unless their strays, they pick them up or take them from abusive homes and care for them with the medical care they need and then find then new homes but when it comes to our loved pets we're told to put them to sleep as if they don't have a life.
