Buttons was found thursday stumbling down a busy road. Nearly running into
cars. A very nice lady saw him, and realized he wasn't just a confused stray,
he couldn't see where he was going. She picked him up, and got in touch with
project paws animal rescue. This was a dog we couldn't say no to, even if it
was just to give him a painless end.
He was described as a hopeless case, with skin problems, severe matting,
total blindness, and in need of dental work as well. Plus, No vetting
whatsoever. Everyone that we talked to gave the impression that he needed euthanized.
In the 3 days buttons has lived with me, he has proved that he has quality,
and quantity of life left. He is housebroken. LOVES to sit on the couch and
get his belly rubbed. He barks when he wants something. Eats like a pig. Wags
his tail and follows you around the house based on hearing, and smell. He is
not a dog that needs to die now...!
BUT, Buttons needs help. He will need eye surgery, which we are expecting to
cost between $500 & $700. He will be going to the vet as soon as they have
space for him. His right eye is extremely scratched, catching lots of dirt,
very enlarged, and painful. He will need it probably removed.
He will also need
several teeth pulled, and an extreme teeth cleaning. Also over $100. Not to
mention neuter, HW test, shots, deworming, blood tests due to his age.
Project Paws can not afford all of his medical care, and he is too awesome of a dog
for us not to. He looks like a Tibitan spaniel mix.
Some of the matts were the size of
my arm. He is a 10 lb dog. The matts weighted 2 lbs. They were so close to
his skin, they caused painful infections and he is pretty sore.
He is on
antibiotics, and getting topcial cream on them... so they will heal fast.
Buttons is 14-16, Loyal, Smart, Sweet, & needing help from fellow animal
lovers. He has a safe foster home to undergo all of his medical treatment. He
may even have a permanent home once he gets the ok. But without the Funds to
care for him... He has nothing.
Please help us, HELP HIM. Even $5 makes a wonderful difference.
Remember if
10 people donate $10, We have enough to start his medical care, and at least
put him on good meds until his surgery.

-We will take him to the vet soon this week, and I will get the vet info to
donate to. I do not have that right now, because we use 3 different vets, and
i'm not sure who has space to treat Buttons. I will get that ASAP.
