Champ

He lived in a horrible puppy mill - no love or affection

Don't let him die - never knowing that!!!!!!

Champ is a very tiny Pomeranian that was saved from death by Kelly Kandah. He is a rescued Puppy Mill dog that was going to be killed.
He was diagnosed with PDA, and without surgery he wont live more than a few months, before his little heart goes into failure. He really needs your help.

Kelly is a full time student and any income she has is limited and paying for this surgery alone will be a difficult situation. She is trying very hard to help this baby. If anyone can help her both she and Champ will be very grateful.

He is scheduled to go into Ohio State (OSU) on Sept 10 and the estimated cost will be over $1500.

The contact number at Ohio
State is 614 292 1360
the contact person at the University is Kim.

The account number at Ohio State is 525249.

Kim is supervisor in accounting at the hospital.
Of you choose to send a check it can go to:
OSU
601 Vernon L.
Tharp St
Columbus Oh. 43210
Any checks should have Champs acct number on there so that
the funds will go directly to his account.

Champ is only 1.5 lbs, and such a cute baby. Please if anyone can help out just a little, this will be greatly appreciated.

Any other questions you can contact Kelly at
kellykandah@gmail.com

We only have 4 days to help get enough to get this baby in the door. Right now we are not making it. For those that have donated, thank you so much.

So far to date, Champ has received about $450 in donations for his surgery.
He needs $600 to get in the door for the surgery, and another 1/3 of the total cost of surgery to get him out again.
Right now it is not looking so great for this little one. If anyone can help please please do. Kelly is trying to get some family support also so she may get a little help there, but it won't cover him. She really needs help.

As a student this will be a real financial burden. I am sure when she saved him she did not know what an enormous amount it would take to make him whole. And I am sure she would not have changed one thing.
Champ still needs some help. We will send an update after the surgery. But it will take several hundred to even get him out once the surgery is complete.

UPDATE 09-09-08

My name is Kelly Kandah. I am the rescuer/owner of Champ the puppy rescued with PDA. I want to thank all of you who contributed to helping with this surgery. I felt so terrible having to ask people for help financially with this because I wanted so badly to be able to fully provide him with what he needed without having to ask from others. I am a student at the University of Cincinnati. I am studying Journalism and Communications. I can not wait to give back when I graduate like all of you have so generously been able to do. Champ will be four months Wednesday when he is scheduled for his surgery. He is already in the middle stage of heart failure, so the surgery could not be a day later. I will take him to Ohio State Wednesday morning with your contributions that have almost totaled his initial cost when we go into surgery with is $600. When I pick him up (in order to pick him up) I will need to pay the remaining balance of the surgery.

If anyone has any friends or generous people like yourself who you can send the donation link to please please do. Below is the paypal link.

I am including some pictures of Champ from this morning and if he would talk her would personally tell you how much he loves and thanks you!!

Please say a little prayer before you go to bed Tuesday night and throughout your day Wednesday that the surgery goes well and, that the funds become available.

God Bless,
Kelly Kandah

Heavenly Father,
you created all things for your glory
and made us stewards of this creature.
If it is your will, restore it to health and strength.
Blessed are you, Lord God,
and holy is your name for ever and ever. Amen.

Hi Everyone!
I just want tell you that Champs' surgery went very well and he is
now resting! His chest tubes have been removed but he will remain in
ICU until tomorrow morning. The doctors were nervous about the surgery
since he was so small making his heart even smaller. The hole was so
tiny it was a very tough surgery but with all of you and the faith we
all had in his success, he came through great. I want to thank
everyone for everything my words can not express my gratitude enough.
He is scheduled to come home either tomorrow night or Saturday
morning. He will be on limited exercise for the next two weeks but
after that....he will lead a perfectly normal and LONG life...thanks
to you. Everyone of you have good karma on your side because of this.
I will send an update soon...

Thank You!

Kelly

We are still short some funds if you or anyone you know have anything
more to give please call OSU at (614) 292-1360 or click on the pay pal above
