Cody & John Updates

It's nice to be warm!!!!

I even have my own little bed now!

Updates-01/08/09

I'm extending John & Cody's stay at the hotel, will not be in the apartment until Monday, Tuesday at the latest, running a credit check on me so..still paying for the hotel.
John had his knee drained again, 3rd time, this was with an orthopedic doctor. And Cody went shopping in Narberth at Buzzy's Bow Wow Meow, new leash & neoprene/raincoat !

Just look at that face.

He don't know what to make of all it.

But he's out of the cold & still with his best friend & he's happy.

Thank you everyone who has helped so far to make this happen.

Update August 09

To all of you who have expressed your concern and care for John and Cody let us say THANK YOU !  Your contributions, prayers, donations, help with housing costs and accommodations last winter, tutoring, transportation help, furniture, clothing and friendship have all made a difference.

You have helped to bring John and Cody in from the street.  They are now living in a one bedroom apartment with a small deck (for Cody’s enjoyment) in the same neighborhood where they have lived for the past 20 years.

John is in the process of getting much needed medical attention.  Cody too, has been to the doctor, though for a dog of his age, (19), he is in excellent health.  John is studying, in class and with a tutor, to become literate.  He now has a therapist working to help him overcome some of the roadblocks life circumstances have given to him.  In short, their lives are completely different due to your help.  They have come in from the cold in more ways than one.

Words cannot truly express the gratitude we feel to all of you for your generosity.

Now, we are asking for your help yet again.  Though John has begun to receive some public assistance, it is not yet adequate to cover his rent.  We need to raise an additional $3500. to cover rent for the remainder of his lease, more if he is to remain indoors next winter.  Though these are rough economic times for all of us, any amount you are able to give will help make a difference.   John and Cody’s lives were truly blessed by your generosity last winter.  Please consider extending your helping hand again to keep them housed.

Contributions may be made w ith PayPal through my website: www.surfcitytan.com

or by check (made out to John Parker or Linda Castagna) mailed to:

Thank you and God bless you,
