Pandora

Isn't she just adorable - just sooo sweet.

Please help her to have a life.

In early Greek mythology, Pandora (meaning "all-gifted") was the first woman on earth. She was very beautiful, and was endowed with many talents Sadly, OUR beautiful little Pandora has a serious medical condition and--without very expensive heart surgery--she won't live long enough to share her beauty--and her many talents--with us.

Originally, a loving family planned to adopt little 10-week old Pandora from the shelter. But, when the vet examined her prior to being spayed, a problem was discovered.... Pandora has a very serious congenital heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosis, or PDA for short . Sadly, the family had to decline taking her as their finances would not allow them to treat her condition. At that point, the shelter deemed Pandora no longer adoptable and her future was uncertain....
Pandora's situation isn't hopeless, though. The prognosis--with surgery--is good, but only if the procedure is done very soon , before permanent damage is done to her heart.

When we agreed to take Pandora, we knew that she would need expensive surgery. (The total cost--including pre-surgical blood testing, echocardiogram, etc.--will be around $4000.) Our little rescue organization doesn't receive any outside funding, so we have to pay for all of our rescue dogs' special medical needs out of our own pocketbook--which, at the moment, is close to empty. But we have a soft spot in our hearts for special medical needs dogs.....and we believe in miracles! Can you help us?

We are hoping and praying that we will be able to collect the donations needed to proceed with Pandora's surgery so that we can save her life. Any amount--large or small--will help us reach our goal. While we don't ordinarily solicit outside donations for our rescue dogs--we are BEGGING for your help today, to save this sweet loving little girl's life , and make her whole again.

Thank you so much!
