A sweet little cairn terrier mix was run over and left for dead in South Central LA.

This happened on August 1, 2010. By the time his first guardian angel appeared , it had been 24 hours of him lying in the hot sun with two broken hips and many other injuries. The gentleman who eventually picked him up and brought him to safety was fearful that the very pet un-friendly apartment manager would send him to the pound where he would have had an even worse fate.

Instead, the man posted an ad on Craigslist. He didn't know what else to do. From there Baby Boy's image ended up on Facebook and many volunteers moved to action including a woman named Ruth who picked this sweet little one up.

A generous vet gave him free xrays (I will update with the name of vet in Santa Monica (Thank you, thank you!)

He is presently WITHOUT further medical care and he is in pain. He has a temporary emergency foster who is giving him his pain meds, keeping him quiet and feeding him well.. He is so hungry.

This boy has burns from the road, 2 broken hips and previous injuries :(..

So, Baby Boy needs us to find him RESCUE and to get him into a vet URGENTLY! Please consider the pain this poor boy has suffered in his short life.

Update 8/3/10

How you can help.

The vet that did the free xrays has told us that the fracture is severe. He has a shattered pelvis. What does this mean? The obvious is that he is in a ton of pain and has been since he was run over. His burns from the road probably hurt him horribly too. (HIs foster mom has some meds for him but he could use some strong meds now).

Plates will be required, $500 each. So we are starting with a need for 1k just for the hardware. The longer we wait the worse it is for him for many reasons.

How you can help: 1.DONATE ANY amount, ANY! 2. CROSSPOST and tag friends that might help 3. recommend a VET who can help BabyBoy and/OR a RESCUE that can help him!
